Stan and Jane Catch a Train

Everyman takes the limits of his own field of vision

For the limits of the world

who said that

Schopenhauer

what was he saying

Basically that you accept that your own limits

Are the limits of the world

Which they are not

We all differ

My field of vision is different than yours

Take the platform edge for instance

That could be the limit of my vision

And I would consider that nothing exists beyond it

Which of course it does

I know that because I know what lies beyond

the railway tracks

Yes

have you ever discovered the limits of your own vision stan

Frequently yes

But then I question my limits

And the whole process begins again

I move in circles

We all move in circles

how does one know that one has reached their limit

That is a question that only you can answer Jane

do you think that you will ever fall into the abyss stan

I probably already have but have not accepted it as an abyss

And have climbed out

This is not a question that I can readily answer Jane

I can hear our train Stan

So you can

Jane

You can hear our train

Stan and Jane catch a train

As they are travelling

To the city again
