Today was supposed to be the End of the World

But only if you wanted it to be

Mina did not want it to be the End of the World

So she turned up at the garage where she worked

And started her day on time as she usually did

She swam in the Elephant Pool at lunchtime

After closing the garage for an hour

Mina later walked home to her nearby flat

Leaving her car in the compound

As the day was super hot sticky

I met her on her return journey

And we exchanged packets of chewing gum

As she preferred my cinnamon to her mixed fruits mauve
