I was watching a home movie 

Shot a number of years ago 

By the father of my American friend 

Which showed him ripping up a magazine 

That featured Jane Fonda on the cover 

It was taken as the Vietnam War 

Was drawing to a close 

He does not speak 

Although he quietly mutters

Bitch 

Under his breath 

It was a betrayal 

This is still happening today 

As people who are basically good 

Are supporting bad people 

A large number are brainwashed

By those with malignant agendas 

Who prey on basic stupidity and naive views 

These are the same wars 

Only updated

Nothing has changed 

That is why I count on you as a friend

In all the years I have known you 

You thoughts have not really changed 

Everything to you is black and white 

In a world of grey people 

I wish there were more people like ewe
