Eagles and Doves 1970

In the last week I have been contacted by a solicitor

Who has informed me that I have been left a shop in Baker Street

By my uncle who was known as HippyJim Baxter

He took his own life at the end of last summer

But nobody missed him as he often returned to Gloucestershire

I was his only know relative removed removed removed

Today Alice and I visited the said shop and the flat above

Eagles and Doves 1970 had become almost legendary in the rag trade

Although neither of us had never heard of it in any great sense

This inheritance has set us up for life and Alice can stop teaching

It is too early to say if we we will sell up or make a fist on running the shop

We are planning to move into the Baker Street flat in early March

As we have tired of living in South London which has totally lost its soul

Two weeks ago we were totally unaware of our incredible good fortune

We were stagnating in unhappy jobs and were only planning in weeks

God has certainly smiled on us and we are beginning to appreciate the light
