I found an interesting jigsaw puzzle
When I was in London last week
It was a thousand piece puzzle
But the puzzle did not have a subject
Are you telling me that it was not illustrated
It was not a landscape
Or a bunch of beautiful flowers
The puzzle lacked a subject
It was a rectangle of light blue
A colour field without an obstruction
When I asked about this puzzle
I was told that when a conventional puzzle
Is reconstructed one uses the illustration
As a reference no matter the subject
This is where these other puzzles differ
As there are no known references
The puzzle is completed using a different method
These new jigsaw puzzles involve geometry
As they require an understanding of shapes
Spatial relationships and how the individual pieces
Fit together to form the whole
Sometimes the most simple of ideas
Are the most challenging and difficult
Do these new jigsaws come in different colours
Yes they come in various shades of blue
Klein Blue Titian Blue Cambridge Blue
Greens are planned followed by reds
The chap at the Tate also hinted
That Black Whites and Greys
Were also being seriously considered
