I have a print of Mr and Mrs Clark and Percy

On my study wall as it makes the room feel bigger

This print was a gift from Felicia on her wedding day

As I had engaged a photographer and written a poem

There is a sense of space within this airy painting

I like its minimalism and the vase of lilies on the table

There is an unread book of my early poems nearby

Mrs Clarke is heavy with child and Mr Clarke is smoking

Their cat Percy is looking out of the bright window

As it has a less than healthy interest in Notting Hill Gate
