Haiku was the collaborative act

Of instantaneous and contingent refiguring

Not unlike a jam session of improvisational jazz


I tend to find Haiku quite difficult

As I am very much an isolated poet

This said I have written some Haiku

Than I rather like and look to publish

But normally I park my efforts


Can anybody write Haiku Joe

Technically yes

But I weigh that with the thought

That anybody can paint

I always enjoy coming down Mummy

I am not sure if the group is ready for Haiku

Maybe they are or maybe not

This has been such a happy weekend for me

Especially with Daddy’s anniversary so near

I have arranged with Miss Burton at the library

To have all of her Haiku books easily available

But will have to advise Sephine

She has always been such a lovely girl

I am so glad that you are together

Josie was the cupid

Without her it would have been passing ships
