Jerome has lived in France since he was a child

Even though he is English by birth

His parents own a piano gallery

Which is opposite the railway station

When he was fourteen a goods train derailed

And caused considerable damage to the station

Some of which has not been fully repaired

The grand entrance to the booking hall

Has been truncated and looks out of place

Which added to the decline of the regional trains

Gives the station a feeling of slow decay
