My boyfriend came home with a very unusual present 

I asked him what the fuck it was as I did not have a clue 

He told me that it was an insect hotel which was bizarre 

And confused me further as I was not aware that insects 

Stayed in hotels especially in major cities in Germany 

I was told that there were not many decent places 

Where bugs could thrive survive and bleed their hosts dry 

And that was the reason that these hotels were constructed

This did beg the question of what had attracted the insects 

In the first place which I was told was very very simple

It was so simple so fucking simple that even I should known the reasons why
