The Sea Glass was wrecked off of Aztec Beach but there was no trace of the three man crew
From my house on the hill I could make out the now beached Sea Glass lying on the flat sandy beach
The police had cordoned off the wreck and I could see their tapes blowing in the stiffening breeze
It was a rare moonlit night in Summer Bay and there was some activity on the beach below me
People with their dogs and flashlights moved around erratically and then as the night grew deeper they all returned to the town
I watched them for a while and it was as I was preparing for bed that I noticed something very odd in the shallows
My field glasses before they misted up highlighted clearly a full dining table with all the expected trimmings
Nobody was sitting at this table which was slowly being consumed by the incoming tide
I was tempted to visit the beach but I had been travelling all day and was totally bushed
If there was anything to be found then it would be there in the morning or so I hoped
to be continued
