Not really but given the right conditions

The ghosts of the sea do visit our village

Yes

If you close your eyes and listen

What do you hear

Not much if anything at all

What do you feel

A coolness caressing my face

Taste what do you taste Billy

I suppose it is a gentle saline taste

Open your eyes what do you see

The village is almost hidden

From the light of the day

I feel a tight peculiar anxiety 

Which is invading my person

Am I imagining all of this Gerry

No

As the captain

Is now in this cottage

He always sits near the hearth

I cannot see the captain

He is there I can promise you that

As even ghosts enjoy

Warmth on cooler days

Would you call this a haunting

No far from it

Just old friends

Enjoying each others company
