The Poetry of Spain

You wash up in colour

The rest is folly

Why use twelve words

When three are enough

My work has become increasingly

Minimal

During the last three years

An Orange Balloon crashed

Into my summer garden

Damaging two greenhouses

It had been sponsored

By two of my neighbours

The Mechanics & Melancholy of Women

GUIL was a very famous architect

Who designed the spectacular

Unsupported glass staircase

Deep in the AlCasse Ravine

It is nearly sixty metres tall

And is known locally as

To Heaven and Beyond

I am standing on the site

Of watchtower number six

Which was destroyed by fire

Some years ago during a storm

It was never rebuilt

Which caused some bitterness

In the in the town of

campos de oro
