Or at least it sounded similar

I had suffered a childhood injury

Which altered my perception of sound

And although I could not see the cathedral

(it was hidden by many lesser buildings)

I knew that the people in my street

Could clearly hear these lyrical bells

I did not share this advantage

(It was a fact that I kept to myself)
