 Areopagitica is among history’s most influential and impassioned philosophical defences of the principle of a right to freedom of speech and expression

There are such things as legitimate targets

Would you pull the trigger or plant the bomb

I am not saying that I would not do it

But is unlikely as my pen is far more lethal

Than either a bullet or a bomb

Are you man of peace

I like to think I am

But if a mad dog is on the loose

Then one has to be pragmatic

It is surprising how fresh Milton’s words
