She was not particularly talented

But was pretty and had a pleasant voice

Luck had played a great role in her promotion

She has been in the right place at the right time

But she soon became aware of the terrible adoration that surrounded her

And began to hide her face

But she was not successful

Each of her fans wanted a piece of Solange

And it was because of this that she disappeared from view

She set up home in a late Asian retreat

And stayed there for many years

Her recordings remained popular but as time passed

She was treated with a form of nostalgia

A reminder of happier times

When she returned to France

She did so without celebration

There was talk of a comeback

But this did not materialise as her ambitions had faded

Solange now loves quietly

With her many cats

In a modest apartment in Le Mans
