Today a statue was unveiled in North London

It should have set people thinking

But as normal the opposite has happened

I am not disturbed by her nudity

Indeed it is rather beautiful and quite serene

But many are shocked and consider it exploitive

This could not be further from the truth

As It celebrates women and their achievements

Dissenting voices always ignore the obvious

As they always forget to open their eyes

A naked statue of a woman celebrating the life of Mary Wollstonecraft was unveiled not far from the site of the school she founded

The statue which can be found on Newington Green in London has attracted a good deal of adverse criticism
