today i purchased a book of poetry 

a book of ten poems about walking 

i walk a great deal and also write poetry 

but i do not paint or draw very often 

as poetry takes up a lot of my spare time 

the cover of this book of ten poems 

is rural in its disposition although it does contains a bus 

i find this very comforting even though i live in a city 

my lovely wife gave me a jigsaw puzzle as a new years gift 

the great wave by katsushika hokusai is the subject of the puzzle 

it is a thousand piece jigsaw white blue grey and white 

i have placed my book of poems and the jigsaw together 

the combination is rather pleasing and it relaxes me 

this is not that important 

and i do not really understand its late addition

but i started this poem in December 2022 

and completed it a few moments ago in January 2023
