Collecting Pronouns
I used to belong to a stamp collectors club which was great fun but highly impractical due to the high winds that we get down here by the sea.
Each time somebody opened the door the stamps were blown everywhere with some being found as far away as Belgium and France.
This upset me so I tried collecting train numbers but found no trains as they were all either on strike or cancelled.
Life was lonely for a while until a friend (yes I have some left) suggested that I join the Pronouns Collectors Club which met once a month
It was open to all which was nice so I brought my poodle Jeremy along.
Up to then I did not know what a pronoun was but I soon found out and was made to feel very welcome even though I still struggled with adjectives.
My only pronoun was he/he as I was often amused by the absurdities of life where perfectly intelligent people adopted a herd instinct and started questioning what is obviously ridiculous.
Yet I was told that there were many pronouns to choose from which I found very exciting.
Some were for the chaps and some were for the girls which made it far more interesting than stamp collecting had ever been.
But there was a catch as these pronouns could be expensive and were much sought after and nobody really wanted to exchange my only pronoun for one of theirs.
But God was kind to me as a Dutch girl named Jenn Der Newtraal offered to exchange her late brothers pronoun for mine.
He had undergone a sex change operation but could not decide what he wanted to be and to cut a long story short faded into nothingness.
What a happy place this world was …..that was until my best friend Tarquin told me that I had been ripped off as I had exchanged my pronoun for a boring old noun….
Oh well life is full of shit and then you die ….
