Seaside

Everybody has seen your legs Julie

There is no need to cover them

With long cotton dresses

I own a boat named Jonathan

Which I rent out to visitors

Our railway station

Has views of the sea

I used to work there

Before university

There are six cigarette machines

In the town centre

Which is odd

As so few people smoke

Dogs are banned

On the beach

But not hamsters or cats

I lent you one of my crimson towels

But you have yet to return it

Richard says that you have lost it

We sometimes sleep together

My bedroom overlooks the beach

The wooden frames of its window

Are damaged and becoming quite dangerous

You frequently watch the sun rise

From my painted wicker chair

How beautiful you are

In the early morning light

My aunt owns a gift shop

Les Jardins de la Mer

It was painted grey

By its previous owner

And looks dull

Even on bright summer days
