I have been asked to play Gossamer Beynon in a production of Under Milk Wood

Which is being directed by my husband Donald

He has warned me in advance that I will have to briefly reveal my breasts

My best friend Jennifer Jones will also bare her lipstick breasts

Wicked girls on the way to Hell

This I hope will bring more punters through the door

Which is a sad commentary

But that is how expensive things are

I think that Jenny is the obvious choice for Mae Rose Cottage

As she has the look of tease and sin on her flaxen face

Light coloured skin blue grey eyes

That hide all of the world’s wicked lies

The production if all goes to plan will open in May

When our lovely town is on the cusp of summer

Donald has the small part of Organ Morgan

Whilst Sally who is in charge of lighting

Plays Mrs Organ Morgan

He tells me that the many of the problems

That one faces when staging Under Milk Wood

Are not solved without labour and much difficulty

But we will come through

I am certain of that

May follows April

And will always chase the heat of June
