Amoureuse de l’ Islande

My sister is named Luna

She is two tears older than me

We own a cat named Rufus

Who insists on being released

At three thirty every morning

I often meet Luna on the landing

We are always naked

As the nights are humid

I return to my bed

My sister drinks iced water

On the lonely terrace

Of our colonial home

And waits for the sun
