I own a dog that is much loved

It is just a nice dog

And I frequently receive requests

To pet or stroke Diane

Which confuses me

As my wife is named Diane

Embarrassing incidents aside

Diane is a loyal companion

We walk for miles in deep conversation

Even her shit smells of violets

And I often sell her doggy bags

To locals and tourists as souvenirs

Ours is a happy life and Diane also cooks
