The New Beach Sands are often saturated
By the unpredictable Blue Reef Tides
Dot Shingle is a London trained artist
And is much celebrated in our little village
She is also my lovely Aunt Dorothy
I have just painted three church frescoes
Which will be blessed as July matures
Before this great event my aunt will remarry
The late captain of the Marie Bell Lynn
We will all celebrate on the shifting sands
And dance until the sea chills our exhausted feet
The Pink Moon will then lay low on the horizon
Before its journey into the softness of the night
