I do not excel at many things

But I do have a very accurate eye

And was invited to an archery school

Set deep within the southern hills

It was there that I met Barbara Briggs

Whose talent was legendary

She had been asked to represent her country

But declined as her first love was music

We soon became lovers away from the fields

This smoothed her direction and she later thawed

We travelled to Japan to shoot for our country

I received a silver medal and Barbara took gold

She retired soon after and now coaches at the school
