In a World Full of Fish

I have never seen the sense in fishing as a pastime

Catch to cook yes as one must eat but the rest is just cold

The fishermen arrive early on the pier as the sea is full

I dislike the slaughter so I avoid my gaze and carry on writing

The Dream Girls of Naking will be my third book of poetry

It is mainly about the sea maidens

Who live just below the surface in the shallows

To catch one of these maidens is a great prize

It is thankfully rare as capture causes great distress

The supervisor polices the fisherman as they require discipline

I am teaching him western songs to gain and keep his favour
