A very distant relative of mine

Founded the Merry Hotel chain in August 1807

It was sold off last week

I now work as a hotel receptionist

Having been released from prison last year

I had killed a cyclist by accident after taking drugs

And was jailed for ten long years

To this day I do not feel a heavy guilt

As the ageing cyclist was moving very erratically

Which in part caused the ridiculous accident

What does haunt me is that the collision

Took place at exactly 1807 opposite the site

Of the first Merry Hotel

Which had been opened in August 1807
