Juliet
I found these words in a notebook
Deep in a suitcase
This suitcase once belonged
To Victoria Cosmos
(or so it seems)
A random notebook
Of many years
Vacant apart from the following words
A Short Life
Luke 3:23
A Mother now Lost
This is quite random
Although there are clues
Victoria Cosmos is a rather strange name
It sounds quite modern to the ear
Victoria might have owned the suitcase
And therefore the notebook
Her name is written in pencil
Not once but three times
All In the same hand
She might have been travelling
But only the notebook remains
No clothing or other items of interest
Were within the suitcase when found
What happened to the contents I wonder
A Short Life
Luke 3:23
A Mother now Lost
These words are interesting
A Short Life
It seems that Victoria died young
Luke 3:23 refers to Jesus as it is supposed by most scholars
That he was in his early to mid thirties when he was crucified
Perhaps this was near to her age
A Mother now Lost
Could indicate a death in childbirth or soon after
Although this is vague
If I was to take an educated guess then I would surmise
That Victoria’s name was added to the suitcase after her death
There is no indication as to who wrote her name
There is so little to go on
Although I have checked the name
Which is unusual to say the least
I found nothing
History has no knowledge of Victoria Cosmos
