He was in this part of the county

For little more that eight years

Nobody knew where he had come from

Or his name outside of Tom Robb

He was very interested in language

And the many dialects he found

But never collected his works

He wrote poems for special occasions

Such as birthdays weddings and anniversaries

Yet rarely expected payment or alms

Some of these poems were retained

And have since been collected and published
