Wobbling Liz

Recent I walked past

A second hand bookshop

In the high street

And saw a biography

Of the Duke of Edinburgh

In the window

This brought back memories

As I had participated

In an outward bound hike

As part of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The Brecon Beacons were chosen

And off we went in bright sunshine

I was paired of with a girl from Dorking

Named Elizabeth Earnshaw

Who was nicknamed

Wobbling Liz

Because of the size of her bust

She was in proportion

With the exception of her boobs

Which were huge

I had occasion to see them once

Whilst I was reading Walt Whitman

in the long grass beside a stream

I think that she had done this deliberately

As she knew that in later years

That I would write a series of poems entitled

The Erotic Poems of Summer
