About three and a half years ago I found a girl weeping bitterly Alone in a station waiting room At first out of respect I ignored her But her tears seduced me as they fell I quietly enquired of her distress At first she did not answer and I walked away She spoke as I opened the door towards the platform It appeared that she had been due to elope But her love had abandoned her without cause I asked her if I might be of comfort or assistance She asked me where I was going and the purpose I was visiting a church in the county of Somerset As I rather liked old churches and their interiors The girl smiled thinly and asked if she might travel As the peace of rural churches also promoted her happiness We are still travelling together and are nearing marriage Dave & Violet
