It is famous for its Yellow School

A group of Scottish Colourists

Who stayed there between the wars

Their name derived from their fondness

For the various shades of organic yellow

They often decorated the pebbles

That were found on the beach

These are now much sought after and fetch high prices

Occasionally these valued pebbles can be found

In the local caves and on offshore islands nearby
