I am currently sitting on a settee
On a lonely beach in Northern Spain
The slow tide is only metres away
It has been suggested to me
That I should write a surreal poem
I have never ever written a poem
As I am an engineer by profession
Small bridges in large cities
Are my known speciality
But I will write this surreal poem
Even though I have lost my blue pen
It is I am strongly led to believe
Under these saturated cushions
