Do you ever sit out here
Deep in the orchard
Counting the stars
Sometimes but not very often
As I am a little afraid of the dark
These apples are never shaded by the night
Even the grasses are illuminated by fireflies
There is no need to be alarmed
I quite often sit on this very chair
And count the millions of stars in the sky
It is an endless task as I often lose count
I feel that I am being secretly watched
By mysterious creatures who wish me harm
Then you will not sit out here alone
There are two chairs in my room
I will bring the decorated chair
So that we might sit here together
