WARSAW, Jan. 8 1967
Zbigniew Cybulski, Poland’s most popular screen actor and the best known in the West, was killed today when he fell under a moving train at Wroclaw, in southwestern Poland
The 39-year-old star ran onto the station platform as the Warsaw Express was beginning to pull out
He scrambled for an open door but fell between two coaches
The rest is history
A newspaper cutting had been hidden
In a book of poetry

I happened to be on a railway station
Waiting for an express train
Which was a hour distant
The tracks were totally vacant
And were gleaming in the rain
