Although she was habitually lazy

And adverse to any real physical activity

Sophia had a kind heart and a ready smile

She looked after the the poor of the parish

But her indolent lifestyle soon took its toll

She died suddenly before she was thirty

And was much mourned within her village

Note – in the years after her death many people reported the ghost of a young woman riding a horse across the nearby sands
