One of the most ghastly things

That happened to Josie

When she was at Cambridge

Was when she found her flatmate

In the bath having taken an overdose

Annie died later the same day

Which shattered my sister

As for many long months

Josie with the help of others

Had tried to help her to slowly recover

From the break up of her deep love

But Paul had always sought a relationship

Which would enable him to live and breathe

Sadly Annie was not that type of girl

She was as serious as I was

But without the humour

Her suicide note which was disclosed

At the inquest some weeks later

Contained just four words

My Heart is Shattered

I often believe that

This changed my sister

Possibly it did possibly not

But her behaviours changed

And she would often vanish

Without any prior warning

I have come to an understanding

With Josie that has lasted for years

But I think that our church

Means more to me than

It does to my lovely sister
