I knew that I was going to love

Amanda Stevens- Lowe

Not just because

Her father was stinking rich

Or that he owned half of Sussex

It was her compassion

That really attracted me

This was demonstrated

When her Porsche was stolen

By a couple of black junkies

And ended up in the river

When I next met her

I found Amanda in tears

Not because of the senseless

Loss of two young primates

But because her beloved car

Had suffered serious damage

As it crashed into the Thames
