One day I will let my pen rest on my desk I will not pick it up again Nothing will cause this I will remain silent As I have nothing else to say  

I met you   I remembered you   We had dinner together   And then we parted   We no longer correspond

I have a print on my bedroom wall It is Japanese Lake Ashi in Hakone Hills in Early Autumn  My father purchased this print some years ago It has not faded even though it is exposed to the sun  

After the theatre only the silence remains   The future remains an abstract no matter how hard we plan   Even when I am quite alone I do not feel alone   Some cities reveal their past to me Whilst others remain closed  

There is a recently unveiled statue of Virginia Seated next to the River Thames in Richmond She looks serene and at peace with the world But is for some reason positioned next to a waste bin I think that she would have found that amusing
