It was as I combed the empty beach<\/p>\n

That I found a smooth pebble resembling<\/p>\n

A work by the sculptor Maillol<\/p>\n

I warmed it in my palm without thought<\/p>\n

And later presented it to my library<\/p>\n

A Bitter Wind in March<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spring days mild and bright<\/p>\n

Are only a matter of weeks away<\/p>\n

But the sea is black and rough<\/p>\n

And the north winds bitter today<\/p>\n
