On a visit to China some years ago<\/p>\n
I met a leftover lady at a railway station<\/p>\n
We were instantly attracted to each other<\/p>\n
And after some difficulties she came to England<\/p>\n
Where we reside to this day in Royal Leamington Spa<\/p>\n
Although God has not blessed us with children<\/p>\n
We are devoted to each other and share many interests<\/p>\n
I call her my lotus flower as she is small and delicate<\/p>\n
She calls me her strong Englishman because of my height<\/p>\n
I never knew what a leftover lady was until I met my wife<\/p>\n
And thank God each morning for our meeting as I might have never met her<\/p>\n
If my train had not been delayed by the inclement weather further down the line<\/p>\n
She had been at the railway station to meet her sister who also had been delayed<\/p>\n
An hour either way and we would have been unaware of each other<\/p>\n
And it is likely that we might have remained single as were both quite shy<\/p>\n
