Andre lived an uncomplicated life next to the beach

With his girlfriend Sonia and their two cats

His immediate prospects were quite rosy

As his painting were selling well after the exhibition

And then the spaceship landed near the jetty

The travellers invited Andre and Sonia

To join them on their odyssey through time and space

Sonia was worried about the cats

But was assured that they would return

Within the hour if not sooner

And that is what happened

They left at five to three and returned

At ten to three which caused a few complications

As Andre was paid twice for each of his paintings

When he asked about this he was assured that all was in order

As they now lived on both on earth and parallel earth

Sonia found she had four cats instead of two

And the clocks were running in reverse during the morning hours

In time they both grew used to this distortion and indeed grew fond

Of its complications and sly distortions blue black and red
