{"id":1142,"date":"2014-08-01T20:33:19","date_gmt":"2014-08-01T20:33:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stuartmillerosborne.co.uk\/?p=1142"},"modified":"2014-08-03T13:10:24","modified_gmt":"2014-08-03T13:10:24","slug":"party-house-lyrics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stuartmillerosborne.com\/index.php\/2014\/08\/01\/party-house-lyrics\/","title":{"rendered":"Party House Lyrics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alfredo Garcia was named after a movie that no one in his family had ever seen<\/p>\n<p>The family name was Garcia so Alfredo\u2019s uncle suggested the name when Alfredo was born in 1987<\/p>\n<p>Alfredo\u2019s uncle had seen the movie with his cousin in a small cinema in Madrid in 1974<\/p>\n<p>He admired Sam Peckinpah movies<\/p>\n<p>The Spanish title of the movie was <i>Tr\u00e1iganme la cabeza de Alfredo Garc\u00eda <\/i><\/p>\n<p>Alfredo\u2019s uncle liked the English title of the movie which he considered brutal<\/p>\n<p>Both Alfredo\u2019s father and uncle drowned when their fishing boat capsised in a sudden storm when Alfredo was ten<\/p>\n<p>Their bodies were never recovered<\/p>\n<p>Alfredo lived in a suburb of Malaga with his mother and sister<\/p>\n<p>His mother&#8217;s name was Rachel<\/p>\n<p>His sister&#8217;s name was Valerie<\/p>\n<p>His mother was retired and spent her days playing cards with her friends and helping to feed stray cats<\/p>\n<p>His sister worked in a travel agency in the centre of the city and also attended college twice a week<\/p>\n<p>She was studying English<\/p>\n<p>Alfredo worked as a builder<\/p>\n<p>He liked his job and took great satisfaction when projects were completed<\/p>\n<p>Alfredo quite often visited buidings that he had worked on and took photographs<\/p>\n<p>With his Canon camera<\/p>\n<p>There was only one thing wrong with Alfredo\u2019s life<\/p>\n<p>It was that he was afraid of going home in the evening<\/p>\n<p>This had been the case for over two years<\/p>\n<p>What scared Alfredo was that he witnessed things which he considered very odd<\/p>\n<p>It had started on a Sunday morning in November when he had opened the fridge prior to cooking himself a breakfast<\/p>\n<p>He cooked breakfast for himself every Sunday<\/p>\n<p>As he reached for the eggs he could hear singing which appeared to be coming from inside of the shells<\/p>\n<p>It stopped when he broke the eggs<\/p>\n<p>This disturbed him<\/p>\n<p>He asked his sister to listen to the eggs<\/p>\n<p>She heard nothing<\/p>\n<p>Later that day he went to a large supermarket and listened to the eggs on the shelves<\/p>\n<p>They were silent<\/p>\n<p>In tme Alfredo grew used to the singing eggs and prepared his Sunday breakfast as normal until he noticed that his cooked eggs were beginning to dance on his breakfast plate<\/p>\n<p>Alfredo became a vegatarian<\/p>\n<p>He was relieved that vegatarian food did not sing or dance<\/p>\n<p>But this was not the end to the strange happenings in Alfredo\u2019s life<\/p>\n<p>Often as he lay in bed at night and watched as his lampshade closed like a retiring flower<\/p>\n<p>His team photograph of M\u00e1laga Club de F\u00fatbol would often move around the room and the team would reappear wearing red shirts instead of the normal blue and white ones<\/p>\n<p>Alfredo drew his curtains tightly every night as he often saw flying saucers hovering over the velodrome<\/p>\n<p>Especially when cycling events were taking place<\/p>\n<p>His room became very hot<\/p>\n<p>So did his mothers<\/p>\n<p>His sister kept her windows open so her room was cooler<\/p>\n<p>When Alfredo saw strange things he often went into his sisters room<\/p>\n<p>And lay on her single bed<\/p>\n<p>Her sheets smelt slightly of perfume<\/p>\n<p>His sister wore an Italian perfume called Tender Night<\/p>\n<p>She did not buy her own perfume<\/p>\n<p>As she had a boyfriend called Martin<\/p>\n<p>Who purchased the perfume for her<\/p>\n<p>When in Madrid<\/p>\n<p>Martin worked in a bank and was the same age as Alfredo<\/p>\n<p>They both liked football and often attended games together<\/p>\n<p>Alfredo always ensured that he his sister was not in the house when he climbed onto her bed<\/p>\n<p>Nothing strange happened in her room<\/p>\n<p>He would look at the spines of her English books and make up a short story<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daughters of Silence walked along The Burning Shore as The Wind Off The Sea blew The Birds Of Paradise away from the shore.
