I was sitting on a high speed train<\/p>\n

With my beautiful wife Jane<\/p>\n

It was very hot outside<\/p>\n

I was told it was 42 in the shade<\/p>\n

The scalding interiors of France<\/p>\n

Hummed as the trains sped past<\/p>\n

We were both sitting in the shade<\/p>\n

Of\u00a0 the divine lemon trees<\/p>\n

That separated our garden<\/p>\n

From the railway tracks<\/p>\n

Everything was still<\/p>\n

It was too hot to read<\/p>\n

Jane was wearing a sarong<\/p>\n

It was brightly coloured<\/p>\n

Blue Green and Red<\/p>\n

She said that she was going to swim<\/p>\n

But could not find<\/p>\n

The swimming pool<\/p>\n

On the high speed train<\/p>\n

I was sketching<\/p>\n

The passing trains<\/p>\n

This was mostly done from memory<\/p>\n

As they were only present for an instant<\/p>\n

But I was so pleased with my work<\/p>\n

That I distributed them at a nearby station<\/p>\n

They were well received by the artists<\/p>\n

Who were visiting the area for the first time<\/p>\n

They complimented me on my use of light<\/p>\n
