I am of the belief that one haunts all of the homes<\/p>\n
In which they have once lived throughout their life<\/p>\n
The houses where I spent my childhood years<\/p>\n
Still echo to my laughter and gentle brutality<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I have loved most of the houses of my residence<\/p>\n
And have very fond memories of my first independence<\/p>\n
The student rooms in a shadowed quad neglected casually<\/p>\n
Until shared with a girl who organised my college life<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I will never consider revisiting any of my previous homes<\/p>\n
As that would crush memories both dull and bright<\/p>\n
And upset the intricate patterns laid by the ghosts<\/p>\n
Of my journeys now spent but not yet completed<\/p>\n
