Hi Jane<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stan is walking the streets of NYC and feels very small against the tall buildings<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is only four degrees but bright and the sun is a friend <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reason is that I walking to Macys which is near Times Square <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I caught the subway to Times Square 42nd Street <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I never got lost once<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 I am so good with city transit systems <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guess what I found as I made my way to my nearest subway station <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I popped into a sort of dime store to get some water and found a copy of Death Wish by Brian Garfield <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was ratty and well read so I added it to my purchases <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Korean owner seeing that I was English said that the subways were safe now <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But he remembered the 1970s and said that he had been robbed many times as a young man <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I asked if it was still bad and he noted that he was last robbed in 1981 on his sisters birthday <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This said he told me that he had a weapon just in case <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I felt uncomfortable as I am a country lad <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The subway was nothing like the one that Charles Bronson rode on <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was clean and bright so I decided to read my book <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nobody apart from a couple of Canadians paid any attention to me <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charles had done his job but time had passed him by <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevertheless it is a good novel and I will likely read it at the hotel later<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the subject of the hotel I was chatting to the assistant manager yesterday and told him how much I liked the drapes <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He told me that the chain sourced them from Norway and one could find them at Macys <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is where I am at present having a coffee to warm myself up <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am going to buy you the identical drapes hopefully in either ash grey and blush pink <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our lovely drapes have faded a little and I know how fussy you are about your drapes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wish me luck as the store is heaving <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It reminds me a bit of that movie Carol that we watched a while back <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rooney Mara is certainly not behind the counter and Cate Blanchett is nowhere to be seen <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the feel of the place is similar as the store is decorated possibly too much but it is still very acceptable <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although it is Sunday and a free day I still have a tight schedule as Daniel has invited me to meet Linda his wife <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 We are going to dine at a special Italian he knows – how I wish you were here – you would like it so much <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you know I am flying out of JFK on Tuesday morning and hopefully will be with you just after dark <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do not bother to meet me at the airport as I am a big boy now and I have Charles in my pocket <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are you doing Jane are you watching the trains pass below in you dressing gown<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are your thighs slightly apart is your golden bush reflecting the sun <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This said I can see that you have plate cloud in London <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enough of my fantasies as after all one should not get too excited in Macys <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you do not come back to me then (I think that you are visiting Julie today) I will choose the colour <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope that you will like my choice if not I will keep the receipt and you can take them back <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Radio silence for a while now as I am going to do a far better thing than I have ever done <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although I will be lagged by the time I see you again I look forward to sitting in our lounge <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With you in my arms discussing that damn coffee stain that not even Vanish can conquer <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before that I have a closing day and a long flight and a trip above the clouds <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is you bear still on the third chair- it is funny that I think of him whenever I see a bear in NYC <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nearing the dreaded area that is supposed to sell the Norwegian drapes <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am about to make a fool of myself (how I need you at this very moment)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No nude selfies on my phone please as I am told that Linda is very Bible Belt and the sight of your cunt might shock her<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I remember Lisbon only too clearly Jane <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are still in my bad books <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember if you are a good girl then I have lots of candy for you <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I might even purchase some more in this very store <\/p>\n\n\n\n
