Why are you so unhappy Henry <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My book of poetry has been criticised <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Too oblique too obscure are just two <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of the criticisms in the press today <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is crude racist homophobic <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They have accused me of all things <\/p>\n\n\n\n
How dare they I hope they all die <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Think what critics are Henry <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are failed artists <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Failed writers<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Failed poets <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They have failed in their lives <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would lynch each of them Diane <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would lynch them like the niggers of the Deep South <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would record their agonies on my magnified phone <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would record their final breaths and their final tears <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would then incinerate their wretched corpses <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And spread their ashes over the faeces fields <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Henry do you remember where we first met <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yes on a railway station in Southern France <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whose platforms were embraced by tall palm trees <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I had come to one of your readings but was too shy <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To speak to you and tell you how much <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your Wonderful Poetry <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meant to me and how it had changed my life <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I waited for you <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I wanted your love <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I wanted your eyes <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I wanted your madness<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I wanted to share your journeys <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When you are unhappy <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am unhappy <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am angry for you <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So very angry<\/p>\n\n\n\n
