I have a Pschlosh fish in my pond

It is far wiser than me

I consider it to be the smartest fish

In the universe which is supposing

That there are other ponds in distant galaxies

But that is a subject for another evening

We frequently chat beside the still waters

As this fish can spend time away from its home

And although its vast knowledge outshines mine

The Pschlosh fish is never arrogant

It treats me as an equal

Yesterday as the air was warm

We discussed the poetry of the Boer War

Concentrating on the last poem of Breaker Morant

We chose our favourite lines

(Stanzas One Two & Seven)
