Winifred and Perdita walked along the northern beach towards the southern beach<\/p>\n

Of Winifred diving into the sea<\/p>\n
So that she could enter them in a photography competition<\/p>\n
The following month<\/p>\n
The prize was prestigious<\/p>\n
The opportunity to photograph Winifred diving from the rocks into the sea<\/p>\n
As her friend changed Perdita set up her camera<\/p>\n
Do dive when you are ready\u00a0 <\/i><\/p>\n
Winifred dived elegantly into the sea<\/p>\n
How did I do?<\/i><\/p>\n
I feel that I did not catch the beauty of your dive <\/i><\/p>\n
Oh how bothersome for you<\/i><\/p>\n
I feel that the shutter speed is all wrong <\/i><\/p>\n
Then I shall dive again <\/i><\/p>\n
Winifred dived as elegantly as before into the deen green sea<\/p>\n
It is no good I have not adjusted the shutter speed properly do dive more slowly <\/i><\/p>\n
I can only dive as slowly as gravity allows <\/i><\/p>\n
Let us try again <\/i><\/p>\n
Once more then before I rest as I feel I have swallowed so much sea water that the shipwrecks of ages now lie exposed <\/i><\/p>\n
Winifred dived again but her friend did not capture the image she required<\/p>\n
After she had basked on the rocks for a while Winifred moved towards Perdita who was looking out to sea<\/p>\n
I had such high hopes of my camera but it has let me down <\/i><\/p>\n
Let us swop roles then nobody will know <\/i><\/p>\n
But you are the professional diver I will just flop into the sea <\/i><\/p>\n
Let us try you can borrow my swimsuit and I will take the photographs required <\/i><\/p>\n
Do you understand shutter speeds? <\/i><\/p>\n
Not a bit but let\u2019s go ahead with the deception <\/i><\/p>\n
Perdita changed into her friends swimsuit and made her way to the highest of the navy blue rocks<\/p>\n
Do dive I have the camera ready <\/i><\/p>\n
Perdita\u2019s dive was as inelegant as it was clumsy and she created a large disturbance as she entered the sea<\/p>\n
I cannot dive like you<\/i><\/p>\n
But I have captured your dive <\/i><\/p>\n
That weekend in the darkroom Perdita developed her photographs<\/p>\n
Each of the Winifred exposures were blurred and she cursed her camera vowing to purchase a new one with more understandable shutter speeds<\/p>\n
In the tray next to her ruined photographs she saw Winifred\u2019s photograph which was perfect<\/p>\n
Her dive was that of a fish and her disguise had worked<\/p>\n
Winifred was Perdita<\/p>\n
The following month she won the photographic competition but did not collect her prize<\/p>\n
She donated it to a more caring cause<\/p>\n
As the navy blue rocks had lost their colour<\/p>\n
