I slept with a world famous actress last night

Many men would have liked to be in my place

This was the last thing that I expected to happen

I maintain and clean the pools of the rich and famous

It is a trite occupation but I enjoy its simplicity

Yesterday on my last call I was collecting the leaves

From the swimming pool of Julia Anne Worthing

I had cleaned her pool before but without notice

When I clean swimming pools I cease to exist

I am invisible a white nigger if you like

But this is not what happened yesterday evening

As Miss Worthing came up to me and asked if the pool was ready for use

When I indicated that it was she dropped her wrap

And dived naked into the pool without inhibition

Although my senses were stimulated by seeing her naked

I pretended not to notice as I packed my working tools

She then asked me to join her just for a few minutes

As she wanted company and a friendly voice

It did not take me long to realise that she wanted sex

In a way I was flattered and played along

Miss Worthing insisted that she should cook for me

And then later without incident I found myself in bed with her

I found out that Julia the woman and Julia the actress

Were two distinctly different people as she was rather shy

And was eager to please me in an almost subservient manner

During my exploration of her supple body

I found small blemishes and a abdominal scar

These imperfection were never exhibited on screen or in photographs

They were edited out using a variety of techniques until Julia was perfect

When the dawn broke over the valley I found her staring at me

I was expecting to be dismissed but the opposite happened

As she asked me to share the house with her for the day

It would have been longer but she was attending a film festival in Europe

Before her flight she told me that she wanted to experience an ordinariness

Even for a few short hours before she stepped into the madness once more

I was not dispensed with nor did I enter into a relationship with Julia

We existed in different orbits which rarely passed each other

It was agreed that we should meet again as time permitted

But only as passing ships in the night
