And worst of all <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My football club was relegated <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I decided to end it all <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And climbed on to the footbridge <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At my local railway station <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would jump under an express train <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was quick and easy with no real fuss <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I waited and waited <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Until a mugger shouted up to me <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are no trains <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A suicide up the line <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And would I be as kind <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As to throw my wallet down <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I did this as I had no need for money <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He told me that they were running <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A rail replacement bus service <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I waited a while and then climbed down <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The station forecourt was deserted <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I lay in the area reserved for buses <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It began to rain but I did not care<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would be able to dry off in heaven <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was then that a little old lady <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tapped me on shoulder with her umbrella <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I told her that I would not change my mind <\/p>\n\n\n\n
